The Challenge
The client had identified their need for a new
web site complete with content management system. Additionally, to
support their ongoing service, they has an urgent need for a new
look and feel to be applied to their existing website.

The Solution
We worked with the client through an indepth
discovery phase, identifying their required look and feel, branding
and new information architecture. At the end of this process, we
were able to successfully create the design that would take the
client forward, forming the basis of their news ite and also
applicable to relevant areas of their existing site.
We then worked with them to clarify their
functional requirements and selected the Immediacy solution as the
CMS provision that would provide a best fit for the client.
Using the new look and feel and information
architecture, the new site was developed to W3C AAA standards. The
work included creating some bespoke elements such as a revolving
image display to ensure inclusion for all of their potential user
groups, a bespoke A-Z search facility for web pages and associated
content and a facility to prioritise important news articles.
The Results
The newly developed website launched in
November 2008 and has been extremely well received. The
client is delighted with the results and we are currently
developing a second phase of work – delivering a dual language
version of the site which will include site content in Welsh.
