Connect is delighted to announce the launch of the newly
developed website for County Durham & Darlington NHS
Foundation Trust (opens new window).
The client had a primary objective – to develop a web presence
which expressed their values and visions to all of its public and
stakeholder audiences and to do this clearly and confidently.
We were contracted to work with them to review their existing
site and content and to recommend a strategy for moving forward. We
did this through a series of stakeholder workshops and card sort
exercises. These allowed us to get a complete understanding of
their exact requirements and made it clear that, amongst other
things, the content needed to be delivered in a “controlled” way
with information being shared across many pages from a single input
point.
Along with the review and site development, we put in place a
tailored process to assist the Trust with their task of collating
and uploading large volumes of content to their new site prior to
launch, with content being drawn from a wide variety of sources. We
automated the gathering of content for the new site using web
forms, simplifying and streamlining what can be a very complex and
time-consuming task.
The site went live on schedule on January 11th 2011. Steven
