Connect are continuing to build on their relationship with
Health and Safety Laboratory (opens new
window) and have recently been awarded the contract to develop
a new back end solution for their public website.
Originally formed as part of the Health &
Safety Executive, HSL now work with a range of organisations
carrying out research, development work and incident
investigations. As their work in the private sector increases
and their commercial success continues, they look to utilise their
website more and more as a marketing and communication tool.
Traditionally built using Dreamweaver
templates, Connect worked with HSL back in 2008 to develop a new
look and feel for the site, building a number of templates for the
client. However, following the successful launch of
their intranet using the Umbraco CMS solution in March 2009, HSL
have decided to move their public website maintenance over to the
same CMS solution, whilst continuing to maintain the current look
and feel and site content.
Due for launch in late October, the
development work is completed and content migration is now
underway.
