Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's
Genetic Medicine department identified a need to update and improve
their website. Connect were successful in being awarded the
contract which comprises a two-phase delivery.
The new content managed website is aimed at both patients and
professionals. The design and structure of the website, which went
live this month, had to ensure that it did not confuse or
intimidate patients.
The next phase of development, currently in progress, is to
provide a mechanism for the website to interoperate with Genetic
Medicine's Service Profiles database to provide professionals with
more detailed technical information about their Services.
