We were delighted to be invited to attend the launch of the newly developed Sandyford website (opens new window) in Glasgow in March. Connect is delighted to have worked with this NHS service to develop a site that meets their complex needs and provides a valuable resource for their many different audiences.

The Sandyford service, part of Greater Glasgow & Clyde NHS, delivers information and advice on the full range of sexual, reproductive and emotional health services that are offered throughout Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, as well as information on sexual health improvement and related issues. Connect is delighted to have worked with the service to develop a site that meets their complex needs and provides a valuable resource to their many different audiences.

Fiona Noble, Business & Development General Manager for Sandyford said:

“Having the website will help improve access to our services for our clients, and will provide useful information and links for the public as well as specific clinical information for GPs and other service practitioners.

Working with Connect was a pleasure, and has been a very positive experience. From the outset, we have found them to be professional, helpful and responsive. Communication has always been quick and easy, especially during the busy design phase, and the run up to the launch. We are very pleased with the design of the site, the layout (given the sheer volume of content), and the ease of navigating around the site.”

Connect Project Manager Jacqueline Williams said “It’s been a real pleasure working with the Sandyford team and watching the website come together. The services Sandyford offer to the public are exceptional and we are really proud to have been able to play our part with the development of the website.”

The site was developed using the Umbraco CMS with some jQuery elements and is also supported by the BrowseAloud screen reading software.
