Connect has been shortlisted for two awards at the 2016 Public Sector Communications Awards. Our first shortlist placing is in the the ‘Website of the Year’ category for our work with the UK Space Agency on the official Principia Mission campaign website. Our second shortlist placing is in the ‘Agency of the Year’ category.

The Principia Mission campaign website provides a platform for the UK Space Agency to showcase leading British astronaut, Tim Peake’s Principia Mission and other cutting-edge space activities co-ordinated from the UK. With the space industry providing the technology and infrastructure for services such as weather forecasting, navigation, global communications and broadcasting, space technology has become an essential part of everyday life and can provide the tools to manage complex global challenges. The website plays a pivotal role in communicating these processes to the public.
Connect delivered an innovative and unique platform to the UK Space Agency in a short time period with tight deadlines in place. Powered by WordPress, the UK Space Agency continue to amend aspects of the site and add content as they see fit.

The Public Sector Communications Awards celebrate and reward excellent communication strategies and campaigns, teams and individuals in local and national government, emergency services and not-for-profit bodies from across the UK.
This year’s conference and ceremony will take place on Thursday 14th of July at The Emirates Stadium in London.
