The HP-UX Porting & Archive Centre began with an initial collection of 150 packages, and now plays host to thousands of files.
By providing quality binary distributions of free software, the Porting & Archive Centre makes a tremendous body of useful software available to the public (not just those capable of configuring and compiling software) and dramatically increases the appeal and utility of the archive.
