Connect have been shortlisted for two awards at the 2016 Digital Entrepreneur Awards.
Our first shortlist place is in the ‘Web Development Project of the Year’ category – reflecting our work with the UK Space Agency on the official Principia website. Our second shortlist place is in the ‘Technical Innovation within the Public Sector’ category – reflecting our work with The Mayor’s Office for Policing And Crime (MOPAC) on the development of a bespoke reports system for Independent Custody Visitors.
For those that don’t know, the official Principia website showcases Tim Peake’s galactic mission and other cutting-edge space activities co-ordinated from the UK.
In spring 2015, MOPAC appointed Connect to design and build a bespoke online system for the recording of visitor report forms (VRFs) by Independent Custody Visitors.
The purpose of the new system was to make administrative systems more efficient, thereby freeing up staff time, whilst improving performance management and the oversight of the scheme.
MOPAC is directly responsible for establishing and managing the ICV service across the capital’s 32 boroughs, as well as setting out strategic direction and allocating resources in its Police and Crime Plan.

The Digital Entrepreneur Awards are the longest-standing tech awards in the UK – showcasing the very best of online entrepreneurship that Britain has to offer. The awards celebrate the best of a rapidly growing industry and have been recognising Britain’s finest online talent for over 12 years.
This year’s ceremony will be held on the 9th of November at the Palace Hotel in Manchester.
