Colour palette
Picking striking colors for a design isn’t always the easiest thing to do. It’s easy to get lost in the potential variants and endless combinations when searching for the perfect palette.

There are numerous apps out there that have enabled us to store and share our favourites, but now and then, we can’t help but look to the masters for ideas.

After all, how likely is it that da Vinci, van Gogh, Michelangelo or Rembrandt ever had a hard time picking colors?

Now, you can take inspiration from their colour palettes, thanks to Color Lisa.

Color Lisa is a curated list of palettes based on masterpieces of the worlds greatest artists. Each palette was painstakingly created by designers, artists, curators and masters of colour theory.

Just browse through the page until you find your favourite artist, and click through to see which of their works have been broken down into colour palettes.

Here are some examples, starting with The Mona Lisa:

Should you make it through the entire list and find your favourite artist hasn’t made the grade, you are free to send in suggestions. If your suggestion is approved, it will be dissected by the the colour experts at Color Lisa. Palettes are constantly being added to help keep designs vivid and fresh.

Go on, have a scroll through the site, see if you don’t come away feeling that little bit more inspired as a result.
